Mushroom Kingdom: Princess Peach's Castle
Set on the rooftop of Peach's castle from Super Mario 64. Switches occasionally appear and hitting them makes platforms and ! Blocks appear. Banzai Bills from Super Mario World will occasionally fly into the castle and explode.
Mushroom Kingdom: Rainbow Cruise
Based on the Rainbow Ride stage in Super Mario 64. You start on the flying ship and when it starts to sink you have to follow the scrolling path of swinging platforms, magic carpets and Donut Blocks back to the beginning where the ship will be waiting.
DK Island: Kongo Jungle
Set on several log platforms suspended above a raging waterfall. A Barrel Cannon under the stage might catch falling players and Klap Traps from Donkey Kong Country wash down the river, hurting anyone standing on the lowest platforms.
DK Island: Jungle Japes
A wooden jetty set above a fast-flowing river in the DK Jungle. Klap Traps will try to grab players as they are washed down the river. You can see Cranky Kong walking around his Donkey Kong 64 laboratory through the window of the hut.
Termina: Great Bay
Set on the man-made island off the Zora Coast from Majora's Mask. Tingle's balloon acts as a temporary platform until it bursts, and the giant Turtle rises up to create a new platform on the right. If you watch in the background, as the moon gets closer, the Four Giants appear, catch it and throw it back into the sky.
Hyrule: Temple
A large stage set on a floating island temple. The Temple itself isn't based on a location from any particular Zelda game, and aside from some Triforce designs on the stonework, there aren't any other explicit references to be found.
Yoshi's Island: Yoshi's Story
Based on Yoshi's Story, everything is made of cardboard. The flying Shy Guys that carry food across the screen are flat. Cloud platforms move around the stage and you can spot Pak E. Derm in the background.
Yoshi's Island: Yoshi's Island
Based on the overworld stages of Super Mario World, with slanting pipes, yellow blocks, blue dome mountains and green foliage. In the background you can see Lakitu and Banzai Bill flying around.
Dream Land: Fountain of Dreams
A simple stage set on the Fountain of Dreams from Kirby's Adventure. The water from the fountains makes the platforms rise and fall.
Dream Land: Green Greens
A stage set on a floating island, loosely based on the Green Greens area of Kirby's Dream Land. Whispy Woods sits in the centre, blowing wind and dropping apples on the players. Two columns of Star Blocks fall and fill the gaps in the stage.
Lylat System: Corneria
A stage set on the spine of the Great Fox as it flies over the surface of Corneria from Star Fox 64. Arwings swoop in and shoot at the players on the stage.
Lylat System: Venom
A stage set on the wings of the Great Fox as it flies towards the screen over the surface of the planet Venom from Star Fox 64. Star Wolf's Wolfen ships will fly down and shoot at players on the stage.
Infinite Glacier: Icicle Mountain
A vertically scrolling stage made up of snowy platforms and ice blocks. The game is loosely based on the mountains from Ice Climber.
Planet Zebes: Brinstar
A stage set in the Brinstar area of Metroid and Super Metroid. The stage is held together with organic components that break apart when attacked, and a rising pool of acid will engulf the stage from time to time.
Eagleland: Onett
A stage set in Ness's home town of Onett from EarthBound. Cars and the Runaway Five's bus will drive past, hurting anyone standing on the ground. The background contains many little touches referencing the game, including the meteor on top of the mountain and a warning sign signed by Mayor Pickle.
F-Zero Grand Prix: Mute City
A stage set on the Mute City stage from F-Zero X. A floating platform carries the players to different parts of the stage. From time to time, the F-Zero racers will speed past, damaging anyone in their path.
Kanto: Pokémon Stadium
A stadium where Pokémon battles take place. This stage changes shape to suit Water, Fire and Rock Pokémon types.
Mushroom Kingdom
A stage based on the 8-bit sprites of Super Mario Bros.. ? Blocks will drop items, the Balance Lift can break and fall down the pit and you can see several classic Mario enemies in the background.
