Tap the hit markers on the touch screen in time to the music. Your Rhythm Bar will increase as you perform well timed hits, but if you let the bar drop too low, then the story ends and you must try again. You can unlock bonus stages if you gain a high enough rank.
The game adds the ability to save up to 20 replays of your performances, 4-player wireless multiplayer and support for the Nintendo DS Rumble Pak.

In the storyline to episode 10, "Do Your Best, Big Brother! Are Water Leaks Prohibited in Dreams!?" Takuya must avoid wetting the bed. He is dreaming of leaking pipes, while two moustach-wearing plumbers from the "Water Bureau" try and mend them. One of the plumbers is short and wearing a red shirt, while the other is taller and wearing a green shirt.
The plumbers are based on Mario and Luigi, heroes of the Mario series. If you fail, they jump around breaking blocks off the top of the screen.
