As people capture Pokémon and battle them, they forget about the importance of nature. This is where the Pokémon Rangers step in, protecting nature and the Pokémon that live there.
The aim is to round up and capture as many wild Pokémon as you can by circling them with the PokéAssist, controlled on the touch screen. Their attacks and other Pokémon may prevent a successful capture, so you have to use speed and strategy to catch them all.
Captured Pokémon skills can be used to help you clear paths and improve your ability to catch other Pokémon. Find and catch the right Pokémon to accomplish the tasks set for you by the head of the Rangers.

Near the beginning of the game, one of the characters will explain the Button and Touch control methods:
As for me, I always use my stylus for getting around. You know, I'm from the "Touch Generation."
"Touch! Generations" was a brand associated with Nintendo's casual games suitable for all ages.
