The second remake of Donkey Kong Country was once again rebuilt from the ground up to take advantage of the system. The graphics and sound are closer to the original (and in some cases improved) but were made brighter due to the lack of backlighting in early Game Boy Advance systems.
The Sticker Pads are replaced by Cameras for collecting artwork, and you can see more detailed completion information on each stage. You can also play the DK Attack score attack and time trial on any stage you have cleared.
Because you can save and travel anywhere using the map menu, now you visit Funky Kong to play Funky Fishing (returning from the GBC version), and visit Candy Kong to play Candy's Dance Studio, a rhythm-action minigame.
