A WiiWare sequel to Excitebike on the NES. A side-scrolling motocross racer, the aim is to reach the finish line in the shortest time possible, riding over each track's jumps and landing straight to avoid losing speed. The Excitebike has an accelerator and a Turbo, plus a heat gauge that stalls the bike if Turbo is used for too long.
At the end of a race, the game gives a ranking of A to D, or a special S rank, determined by how fast the race is completed. You move on to the next course if you achieve a certain time/rank.
Excitebike: World Rally can be played in multiplayer over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. You can also share custom stages.
