Endurance Course
Objective of Endurance Course
At the start of each course, you are given a distance and time target. Travel the specified number of Km within the given Time to qualify for the next course.
- Enemy invaders appear in this mode. To play without them, try Solo Course mode.
- You do not get a choice of routes. All the courses are the same as Route B from the Fighting Course mode.
- Courses loop infinitely until the time runs out.
- You do not have energy or extra lives. Crashing will cost time.
- Once the target distance is reached, a fanfare will sound. You can keep driving until the time is up – or pull over for a rest. However, enemies may crash into you, so if you're trying to hold onto a power-up, keep moving!
- You can get all the Power-ups in this mode.
- If you fail to reach the target distance within the time limit, you get a Game Over.
Endurance Course 1

Target
Go 20 Km within Time 250.
Strategy
- Time is not a concern, nor are the occasional puddles and weak Invaders. Just keep moving.
- Focus on trying to earn Power-up 1 by shooting three blue barrels and blocking Invaders.

Endurance Course 2

Target
Go 25 Km within Time 300.
Strategy
- The course is littered with Oil Drums. Downshift to weave through them, especially on the corners.
- Take the opportunity to earn Power-up 2 by shooting exactly 12 Oil Drums.
- Water puddles and weak Invaders should provide little trouble. Stay at high speed and zip past them.
- You should finish with plenty of time remaining.

Endurance Course 3

Target
Go 30 Km within Time 350.
Strategy
- This course starts with a long straight and some weak Invaders.
- Rocks and Oil Drums appear on some of the bends. Slow down to weave through them if needed.
- An icy slip zone will appear, so you will need to downshift to avoid slipping on the tight corners.

Endurance Course 4

Target
Go 40 Km within Time 400.
Strategy
- As the course starts, be ready for a series of tight corners.
- You'll start facing tougher Invaders, including Red, Blue and Purple ones.
- Unless you have Power-up 2, you have limited ammo in Endurance Course mode. Conserve your bullets by avoiding or blocking Invaders.

Endurance Course 5

Target
Go 48 Km within Time 450.
Strategy
- On the opening straight, you'll immediately face Bomber Balls.
- As the road starts to bend, you'll hit an icy slip zone occupied by Blue Invaders. Be ready to downshift and safely shoot them from behind.
- This is the first Endurance course where you can earn Power-up 3.
- More slip zones appear as you go on. On one of them, you will also need to avoid Bomber Balls, so make sure to downshift so you can safely move out of their way.

Endurance Course 6
Once you've reached Course 6, you can use the Continue Code to start from here after a Game Over.

Target
Go 53 Km within Time 500.
Strategy
- This course begins in an icy slip zone with a series of gentle turns giving way to some sharp turns. Stay in a lower gear to avoid slipping.
- Once the slip zone clears, Black Invaders make their first appearance.
- Once you loop around the course, you'll likely be facing Black Invaders on the ice as well. Keep your distance if you can afford to. Other tough Invaders may also appear.
- If you have powered-up Mach Rider, then you shouldn't need to slow down on the ice, and can deal with tough enemies effectively. If not, then this will be a tighter race to the target.

Endurance Course 7

Target
Go 62 Km within Time 550.
Strategy
- This course begins with a long straight with some easy obstacles to dodge.
- As you round the first corner, an icy slip zone will appear. It's also straight and disappears before the next corner, so stay at high speed as much as possible.
- After another long straight, a second slip zone will appear as you approach the corner. Slow down for the corner, then return to high speed, and slow down for the next corner before the slip zone ends.
- You ought to finish this course with plenty of time on the clock.

Endurance Course 8

Target
Go 65 Km within Time 600.
Strategy
- A relatively simple course with gentle bends, puddles and weak Invaders.
- The biggest risk here are the clusters of Bomber Balls that show up as you round corners onto the long straights. Weave between them carefully.
- There's very little reason to slow down, so you ought to finish with plenty of time on the clock.

Target
Go 80 Km within Time 650.
Strategy
- The target distance takes a big jump on this course. You'll need to stay at top speed as much as possible.
- Clusters of oil barrels and Bomber Balls have been cruelly placed on many of the corners. Every second counts, so if you can weave through them without losing speed, you should.

Target
Go 88 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- This course features sharp bends littered with oil drums and puddles of oil.
- As with all courses now, keep your foot down. Even if you can stay at top speed and avoid crashing, time will be tight.

Once you've reached Course 11, you can use the Continue Code to start from here after a Game Over.

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- From this point on, the target distance and time limit are maxed out. In order to hit the Target, you'll need to stay in 4th gear most of the time and avoid as many enemies and obstacles as possible.
- The entire course is made up of sharp left and right turns littered with road obstacles.
- Stick close to the middle of the road to avoid the majority of obstacles, especially the Bomber Balls.

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- On the first straight, get up to top speed and only slow down for the corners in icy slip zones.
- Most of the obstacles on this course are on straights and can easily be avoided. However, watch out for black oil drums on corners. Blast your way through them.

Endurance Course 13

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- This course is made up of many obstacle-strewn bends.
- A long icy slip zone made up of bends could cause trouble if you don't have Power-up 1. Quickly downshift to Gear 2 then up again to Gear 3 to maintain your balance at a slightly higher speed.

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- Quickly get up to top speed on the opening straight.
- Use quick reflexes to swerve around the clusters of Bomber Balls.
- Purple and Black Invaders will cause you trouble. Focus on avoiding them or blocking them (pushing them into obstacles) so you don't lose too much speed.

Strategy
- You'll spend a lot of this course in and out of icy slip zones.
- Each slip zone has lots of bends in the road. If you don't have Power-up 1 equipped, this course may not be beatable.

Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- This course is made up of long straights with a couple of sharp turns. There's no ice, so it's easy enough to stay at top speed the whole time.
- While there are obstacles, most of them line the side of the road. Stay in the centre to avoid them.
- Oil Drums and Bomber Balls can get in your way on a couple of the bends. Blast your way through.

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- This course starts on an icy straight followed by a sequence of slippery bends. Staying at top speed here requires Power-up 1, and the course may not be beatable without it.
- Once the ice clears, Bomber Balls and tough Invaders show up. The Bomber Balls move in a predictable pattern, so swerve between them.
- The road straightens out as you approach the end of each loop, and the icy slip zone will return. It's a short course, so you'll need to deal with the ice quite a few times.

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- This course starts on an icy straight. Get up to top speed as the ice clears before the road bends too much.
- Tough Invaders, tacks and Bomber Balls can be largely avoided. Try not to engage with the Black Invaders as this can slow you down. If you can't blast them, avoid them.
- The road will straighten out as you loop, and the ice will return. Don't sweat it! Keep your foot down as long as possible.

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- The course begins with Invaders, Bomber Balls and oil slicks bombarding you as you take a series of sharp turns. Get up to high speed and prepare to swerve and countersteer a lot.
- As you approach a straight, an icy slip zone appears for two gentle corners with a few rocks. Try to remain at top speed until it clears if you can.

Endurance Course 20

Target
Go 92 Km within Time 700.
Strategy
- Get up to top speed quickly, and prepare to swerve the oil slicks on the first bend.
- Invaders and Bomber Balls appear as the course becomes very bendy with a lot of sharp turns.
- Around 5 Km in, an icy slip zone appears, swerving left and right. You will need Power-up 1 to stay at top speed through this segment, and the course may not be beatable without it as there's not much time to spare.
- Once the ice clears, the road straightens out with just a few rocks to avoid.

After clearing Course 20, the game returns you to Course 1 and the qualification criteria will reset (to 20 Km in Time 250). You will keep your score and power-ups.
