9-Volt's Microgames
9-Volt is a schoolkid who collects Nintendo games. All of his microgames are based on Nintendo games, Nintendo hardware, and even classic Nintendo toys!
Super Mario Bros.
Based on Super Mario Bros. (NES). Stomp on the Goombas.
Donkey Kong
Based on Donkey Kong (Arcade). Jump over the barrels thrown by Donkey Kong.
Dr. Mario
Based on Dr. Mario (NES). Clear the viruses by matching colours with the falling Megavitamin.
Fly Swatter
Based on the Fly Swatter minigame from Mario Paint (SNES). Hit the flies when they pass beneath the fly swatter.
Mario Clash
Based on Mario Clash (VB). Throw the shell to hit the enemy with good timing.
The Legend of Zelda
Based on The Legend of Zelda (NES). Avoid enemies and head into the cave.
Metroid
Based on Metroid (NES). Launch missiles to destroy the Mother Brain.
F-Zero
Based on F-Zero (SNES). Avoid taking damage from other racers and the sides of the track.
Balloon Fight
Based on the Balloon Trip mode of Balloon Fight (NES). Avoid the sparks and don't fall in the water.
Ice Climber
Based on Ice Climber (NES). Jump up and grab the Condor.
Urban Champion
Based on Urban Champion (NES). Hit your opponent into the open manhole.
Wild Gunman
Based on Wild Gunman (NES). Shoot the gunman before he shoots you.
Duck Hunt
Based on Duck Hunt (NES). Shoot the ducks as they pass over the target. The gun is based on the Japanese Famicom Light Gun.
Hogan's Alley
Based on Hogan's Alley (NES). Shoot the gang member, but do not shoot the civilians.
LazerBlazer
Based on the LazerBlazer mode in Super Scope 6 (SNES). Shoot all the missiles out of the air.
Family BASIC
Based on the Famicom keyboard that came with Family BASIC (NES). Select the correct letter or number on the keyboard.
Stack-Up
Based on Stack-Up (NES) and R.O.B. NES accessory. Time it so R.O.B.'s moving hands grip the blocks.
Game Boy
Based on the original Game Boy. Time it so the moving cartridge drops into the Game Boy's cart slot.
Helmet
Based on Game & Watch Helmet. Dodge the tools raining down from above and enter the door.
Racing 112
Based on the Color TV-Game Racing 112 system (1978). Move left and right to dodge the other cars.
Sheriff
Based on Sheriff (Arcade). Shoot the displayed number of bandits within the time limit.
Ultra Hand
Based on the Ultra Hand (1966). Press A with good timing to grab the right ball.
Laser Outlaw
Based on the Kōsenjū Custom Gunman (1970). Shoot the target on the outlaw's chest with good timing.
Chiritorie
Based on the remote-controlled vacuum cleaner Chiritorie (1979). Clean up all the wads of paper.
Boss: Ultra Machine
Based on the Ultra Machine (1968). Swing the bat to hit back the balls as they are fired from the Ultra Machine.
Mario appears at the start of the game.

Polygon Studio Microgames
The concept behind WarioWare began on the Nintendo 64DD, in Mario Artist: Polygon Studio. After you design your polygon model you can use it in several minigames in Sound Bomber mode.
Six of the eight Sound Bomber games were redesigned for WarioWare. Five appear in Wario's first set of microgames, and one in Jimmy T.'s set of microgames.

Punch-Out!!
The boss of Jimmy T.'s set of sports microgames is a boxing game called Punch-Out!!, named after (and based on) the Punch-Out!! series.

Classic Clash
Dribble and Spitz have three microgames called Classic Clash, featuring a Tokusatsu-style Mario and Bowser fighting each other.
- In Classic Clash I, dodge Bowser's rocks and fireballs.
- In Classic Clash II, Push Bowser until Mario tosses him over his shoulder.
- In Classic Clash III, enter the correct button combination to fry Bowser with a huge energy ball.

Air Supplies
In Mona's "Air Supplies" microgame, you have to dump a package onto a flatbed truck from a helicopter.
The helicopter is from Game & Watch Parachute and the truck is from Game & Watch Mario Bros.

I Came, I Saw
In Mona's "I Came, I Saw" microgame, you have to move the Control Pad back and forth to saw through the log and free the character trapped inside.
On the hardest difficulty the character trapped inside is one of the acrobats from Mario Paint (SNES).

Grow Wario Grow!
One of Wario's second set of microgames, "Grow Wario Grow!", requires Wario to grab a Super Mushroom before it reaches Mario.
Mario and the background graphics are from Super Mario Land (GB), Wario's graphic is from Wario Land (GB), and the Super Mushroom is from Super Mario Bros. (NES).

Rock Paper Scissors
One of Wario's second set of microgames, "Rock Paper Scissors", requires you to select the move that will beat your opponent. Your opponent is Mario.

Unexcitebike
One of Wario's second set of microgames, "Unexcitebike", is based on Excitebike (NES). You have to guide Wario's huge bike to avoid the other Excitebikes.

Vermin
One of Wario's second set of microgames, "Vermin", is based on Game & Watch Vermin. Wario replaces the original gardener. Move left and right to hit the moles as their heads pop out of the ground.

Full Minigame Cameos
Dr. Wario
This is the full single-player mode from Dr. Mario (NES), but with Wario in place of Mario. The virus designs have also changed.
Fly Swatter
This was originally a minigame in Mario Paint (SNES). It was originally known as "Gnat Attack" and was played with the SNES mouse.
VS. Chiritorie
Chiritorie was a remote controlled vaccuum cleaner released by Nintendo in 1979. This is a score-based multiplayer version of 9-Volt's Chiritorie microgame.
Wario's Sheriff
An altered version of Nintendo's 1979 arcade game Sheriff. A pixellated Wario replaces the original Sheriff, Mr. Jack. The game's title screen animation has changed to show Wario chasing away Mr. Jack.

Satoru Iwata
After clearing Wario's first set of microgames, play them again to start Endless Mode. Each time you beat the boss you see a short "rest" scene with Wario watching TV. Press the A button during this scene to turn the TV on and see what Wario is watching.
After beating the Boss on the third difficulty level, the words "Thank you for playing" appear. Turn the TV on to see a smartly dressed businessman with glasses.
The face is a caricature of former Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata.

Staff Roll Shapes
During the Staff Roll you can change the shape of the stars that fly past by holding certain buttons.
Hold Down on the Control Pad to make the stars turn into small Triforces from The Legend of Zelda series. Press Right and they turn into GameCube logos.
