A remake of the NES game Metroid. Rather than a port, this version completely rebuilds the original game from scratch. Samus Aran descends on the planet Zebes to wipe out the bio-weapon Metroid and destroy the Mother Brain.
Samus's abilities have been hugely upgraded, and many weapons from later games have been added. You can reach new areas of the map, such as Crateria and Chozodia, and a new chapter follows the end of the game where Samus is stranded in a Space Pirate ship without her armor.
