Hogan's Alley Guide Game B: Hogan's Alley B

How to Play

Target panels appear in the doorways, windows and between buildings of the city scene. Shoot the gangster panels when they turn to face you. Do not shoot the innocent civilian panels.

Each Round contains five scenes and each scene has five targets.

Scoring

Each gangster target type has a specific score: 500, 1000 or 2000 Points.

Progression

As you advance through the rounds, the targets move more quickly and turn to face you for a shorter time.

  • The default high score is 12,000 Points. You will likely pass this before the end of Round 1.
  • Clear Round 1 to get the "GOOD!" message. You get this message after every odd-numbered Round (1, 3, 5, etc.)
  • Clear Round 2 to get the "SHARPSHOOTER" message.
  • Clear Round 4 to get the "SUPER SHARPSHOOTER" message. You get this for every even-numbered Round from 4 onwards (4, 6, 8, etc.)

Miss

  • If you shoot an innocent person, you get a "MISS".
  • If you fail to shoot the gangster before the panel turns away, you get a "MISS".
  • If you miss 10 times, the game ends.

Advice

  • Become familiar with the six target types so you can quickly identify them.
  • Identify areas where the target window is typically shorter, such as to the right of the gun shop, the gap in the fence panels, or to the right of the fence. Be ready to fire quickly in any of these areas.
  • Targets that slide into view already facing forward will turn away quickly. Shoot them as soon as you see them.
