Shin Onigashima Guide Chapter 7

Donbe, Hikari, Ringo and Matsunosuke make their way out of the forest and across Shinohara. However, there's nothing but wilderness and not a tree in sight.

• いどう (Move)

They spot a tree in the distance. This must be the Gonta Cherry Blossom! However, nobody is sure how to get to the Spring from here, so they camp out at the base of the tree.

• はなす (Talk) → ひかり (Hikari)

Donbe and Hikari discuss how they will defeat the dragon. Hikari says the dragon can make people see illusions. They will fail if they are so easily tricked.

• みる (Look) → さくら (Cherry Blossom)

A strange old man with a lump on his cheek appears from behind the tree. He warns them to watch out for lightning, then leaves.

• はなす (Talk) → ひかり (Hikari)

It suddenly starts to rain. Everyone huddles under the Gonta Tree. The sky turns ominous and lightning strikes in the distance.

• はなす (Talk) → ひかり (Hikari)
• いどう (Move)　any direction – choose quickly

Donbe remembers that it's a bad idea to stand under a tall tree during a lightning storm, and the group flees. Lightning strikes the Gonta Tree until all that remains of it is a stump.

• ひとかえる (Change Character)
• はなす (Talk) → りんご (Ringo)

Ringo can smell heavenly water. The Spring must be nearby.

• みる (Look) → さくら (Cherry Blossom)
• ひとかえる (Change Character)
• いどう (Move) → あなのなか (Inside the hole)

The tree stump has a hole in it leading to a cave. Donbe and Matsunosuke agree that they will head inside to see if they can find the Spring..

The cave is dark. Donbe lights the way with his torch.

After passing through a narrow passage, the cave opens up. Suddenly, the floor crumbles and Matsunosuke falls into the hole.

• みる (Look) → いしのはしら (Stone Pillar)
• つかう (Use) → つる (Vine)

Donbe ties a vine to a stone pillar and lowers it into the hole. Matsunosuke climbs back out of it.

• とる (Pick up) → つる (Vine)
• いどう (Move) → おく (Inside)

• いどう (Move) → わたる (Cross)
• いどう (Move) → おく (Inside)

Donbe collects the vine and they move deeper into the cave, crossing some narrow stones over a deep pit. They arrive at a fast-moving underwater river.

The freezing cold water splashes onto the bracelet and the water begins to glow, but the torch is also extinguished. This must be heavenly water!

• いどう (Move) → いりぐち (Entrance)
• みる (Look) → いしのはしら (Stone Pillar)
• つかう (Use) → つる (Vine)
• いどう (Move) → わたる (Cross)
• とる (Pick up) → つる (Vine)

As they head back out of the cave, Donbe realises he can't cross the narrow stones without a light. Matsunosuke helps him tie the vine across the stones. Donbe crosses safely and picks up the vine again.

There is glowing water behind the crack in the wall, but it's too small to fit through.

They return to the hole Matsunosuke fell into. Donbe ties the vine and lowers himself down. There he finds an underground lake with mushrooms growing on the walls.

• とる (Pick up) → きのこ (Mushroom)
• つかう (Use) → きのこ (Mushroom)

Donbe throws a mushroom into the pond far below. A strange shadow appears beneath the water's surface.

• みる (Look) → いけ (Pond)

A giant catfish named Saburo̅ appears. He was startled by the glowing water and ended up here. Donbe asks if this is Shiraishi Spring and Saburo̅ says he'll tell you if you give him more mushrooms.

• はなす (Talk) → さぶろう (Saburo̅)

Donbe asks Saburo̅ over and over, but doesn't throw any more mushrooms. Eventually Saburo̅ becomes enrages and disappears under the water. Moments later, there's an earthquake.

• いどう (Move) → のぼる (Climb) - don't select any other options

Donbe hurries out of the hole before it collapses.

• いどう (Move) → おく (Inside)
• いどう (Move) → かべのむこう (Towards Opening)

Following the earthquake, Donbe and Matsunosuke head back to the cracked wall. It's broken open and so they head inside.

Inside is a stunning landscape of white marble and pristine water. This is Shiraishi Spring! But something else is here… A giant bird screeches and blocks their way, pushing them back into the cave.

Donbe and Matsunosuke return to the Spring with Hikari and Ringo. Moments later, the bird appears. This time it stops and stares at Hikari's necklace. It recognises her as the reincarnation of Otohime. The giant bird transforms into an ordinary pheasant. She introduces herself as Ohana. Hikari asks her to join them as they face the dragon at Onigashima. Ohana joins the party.
