Shin Onigashima Guide Easter Eggs

In chapter one, in the Room with the Hearth, look at the room to see the door to the weaving room.

• みる (Look) → へや (Room)
• みる (Look) → とびら (Door)

This is a door you must not open.

• あける (Open) → とびら (Door)
• あける (Open) → とびら (Door)

Otsu̅:
"You peeked, didn't you? And after I'd gone to the trouble of weaving you such beautiful fabric."

Otsu̅ the crane flies away. And they lived happily ever after.

In Chapter 1, on the first screen of the grassy path, look at the grass 7 times.

• みる (Look) → くさ (Grass)

What appears to be Kintaro will launch into the air naked.

When the woman is with the six Jizo̅ statues.

• たおす (Defeat) → おじぞうさま (Ojizo̅-sama)

You shouldn't do such disrespectful things.

Thud! Impressive. But it doesn't feel right.

After knocking down the statue, you can continue as normal until you open the prepared rice bowl.

• あける (Open) → おわん (Bowl)

"Gyoee! Gyoee!"

It's a ghost!

The Jizo̅ statue has cursed the family. The childless couple loved the ghost very much and lived happily ever after.

On Chapter 3, after giving the Tengu the telescope, he gives you a choice of a red or blue pouch.

Choose the red pouch.

• あか (Red)

Hikari will transform into a flower. This doesn't result in a Game Over: The narrator winds back the clock so you can try again.

However, if you keep choosing the red pouch, the narrator becomes increasingly frustrated with different lines every time. Eventually the Tengu joins in too.

If you choose the red pouch six times in a row, you get a Game Over.

On Chapter 8, choose Ohana as Donbe's partner. Carry out the distraction until Donbe is cornered on a cliff edge by the Oni.

• はなす (Talk) → おはな (Ohana)
• いどう (Move) → ひがし (East)

Donbe jumps onto Ohana's back and they fly east… All the way to Nagakushi Village. Donbe, who rode on the bird, became famous and lived happily ever after.

Not happily ever after! Try again.

On Chapter 9, after Donbe jumps onto the skeleton dragon's head, switch back to Hikari. Before you do anything else, speak to the Tengu four times:
